Take a ride on the Otis People Mover, a cursed elevator that doesn’t always take you where you need to go. Follow the adventures of Otis, Ivy, Arthur, Norris and Rabbit as they tumble down the elevator shaft into a multi-storied world inhabited by the shades of previous riders. Down is up, up is nowhere, and the memories of who you were are re-formed by the stranger standing next to you.

“…. heart, joy, grace, athleticism and humor make “Next Time, I’ll Take the Stairs” a one-of-a-kind experience.” – Leslie Katz, SF Examiner;
“Before long, characters have plummeted into a world where space and time break rules as well, where a ticking sound can bite you and where the ensemble swim in a lake that pours out of a character’s pockets." – Lily Janiak, SF Chronicle
"Brilliantly written and choreographed, often brain-achingly funny, this Alice in Wonderland journey is a whirlwind of mischievous non-sequiturs…marvelous and memorable."  - Christopher Bernard , Synchronized Chaos

13th Floor's snappy short comedy The End of the Story features a pair of questionable outlaws on the run, a sly witch-hunter pursuing a disenchanted ghost, and a storyteller named Ethos who doesn't know when to shut up.  When the characters realize they are trapped inside a story that is not only moving backwards but has no intention of ending, they fight back with hilarious and disastrous results.

A storyteller at heart, McAllister’s trademark humor creeps into almost all of her work - she is known for her quirky, irreverent creations."  - SF Chronicle

Step into a world where time took an unexpected turn, and the earth is dominated by two warring religions - Greek and Norse Mythology.  A misfired arrow and a mysterious broken knife ignite a star-crossed love affair, setting off a tragi-comedy of epic proportions. Inspired by the art and dialog of graphic novels like Neil Gaiman's "The Sandman" and Brian K. Vaughn's "Saga", The Broken Knife mixes theater, movement and explosive fight choreography to bring this exciting art form to life on stage.

"The Broken Knife is a joyful mashup of movement, sound and a generous dose of physical comedy that only amplifies this well-crafted story. 13th Floor's latest creation delivers.
"A mix of sharp writing and propulsive movement"  - Broadway World

A Wake, inspired by James Joyce's Finnegans Wake, joins a combative Irish-American clan on the eve of a family funeral.  All hell breaks loose when the wrong ghost appears - a sociopathic older brother named Tim, calling up crimes from the past his siblings would sooner forget.  Set in the home of the family patriarch, the characters slide from the everyday - a drink, a kiss, an argument - into the realms of dream and fantasy.

"This company is that rare aggregation that moves as deftly as it delivers dialog - the intonation rarely rings false...McAllister possesses both a passion for notable literature and a taste for whimsy, rare and welcome attributes in any choreographer."  — SF Chronicle

Spend a whiskey-soaked night with the 1940's noir/detective writer Raymond Chandler as he attempts to write his latest novel.  Haunted by the ghosts of novels past, Chandler's stock characters crawl out of the typewriter when the clock strikes 12:00 and attempt to write themselves in - with hilarious and heartbreaking results.

Good comedy has an ability to draw you in even as you stay at arm’s length. McAllister at her best — and she is good here — has that gift of playing with perspectives and focus, while keeping the audience off balance. McAllister has also learned from Chandler: Out of all those misfiring plot twists, she pulled together a lickety-split mystery that took off like a rocket.” - SF BAY GUARDIAN

Bloomsbury/It's Not Real re-imagines the legendary Bloomsbury Group - artists, writers and sexual revolutionaries from the early 1900's, including Virginia Wolfe - recast unknowingly in a reality show.  As they gather in the home of Lady O for one of her legendary parties, they get more than they bargain for as she pits them against each each other in a series of sexy parlor games, poetry slams and the final event, "Art or Dart" - where there can be only one winner.

"Bloomsbury/It's Not Real is sexy, dark, and laugh-out-loud hilarious." - SF Arts Monthly
